Mobile Cube

The New Orleans Advocate release the following story: A group of local businessmen on Thursday unveiled a new street-level approach to digital advertising: a nearly 13-foot high vehicle that displays high-definition ads and messages on LED billboards situated on four sides, including the top.

"We are delighted to bring this new media technology to New Orleans. The Mobile Cube takes digital mobile advertising a step further with its unique design and multiple layers of functionality,” said Mobile Digital LLC co-founder Arthur Boisfontaine. "While digital mobile vehicles exist in other major cities, none can offer this level of technology."

Describing it as a "promotional vehicle for New Orleans,” Boisfontaine's company plans to set aside ad space in the rotations to be donated to local nonprofits, including the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, which is promoting next year's WrestleMania.

Plans call for the vehicle to run daily from 7 a.m. until midnight. The vehicle's digital display can be adjusted to adapt to different light conditions, the company said.

The company hopes to bring similar vehicles to other cities. Another truck is being built to use at live and corporate events.
